Privacy Policy — Hourgleam
Hourgleam is a focus timer made by Kraft Node LLC. It is built to be local-first: your sessions, your presets, and what you write down as your intention stay on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means, and — just as importantly — the one place where data does leave your device.
The short version
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- No analytics. We do not track how you use the app. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising SDK, and no third-party analytics.
- No server of ours. Kraft Node LLC does not operate a backend for Hourgleam and never receives your focus sessions or anything you type into the app.
- One exception: if you buy Hourgleam Pro, our payments provider and the app store you bought from receive purchase data. Details below.
What stays on your device
All of the following is stored locally and is never transmitted anywhere:
- Your focus blocks and custom presets
- Your session history — start times, planned and completed durations, and whether a block was completed or cancelled
- Your intentions. The free-text note you write about what you're working on is stored on the device only. We never see it.
- Your settings — theme, sound choice, haptics, reduce-motion, focus mode
- Your streak, progress, and badges
- A count of how many times the app has launched, used only to decide when to show the Pro offer
This data is removed when you delete the app. There is no copy anywhere else, so there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Purchases
If you buy Hourgleam Pro, three parties are involved and we are not the one handling your money.
Apple or Google processes the payment. We never see your card details, your billing address, or your store account. Their handling of that information is covered by their own privacy policies, not this one.
RevenueCat, Inc. is the service we use to validate purchases and to restore them when you reinstall. When the app starts, the RevenueCat SDK creates a random anonymous identifier for your install and may send:
- that anonymous identifier
- purchase and receipt data from the App Store or Google Play
- basic device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and country
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, focus sessions, or intentions — the app never passes them to it. RevenueCat acts as our data processor. See https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
This is the only third-party service in Hourgleam, and it is only used for purchases and restores.
Notifications
Hourgleam schedules notifications entirely on your device so it can tell you a block has finished while the app is closed. These are local notifications. There are no push notifications, no notification server, and no device push token is collected or sent anywhere.
Links out of the app
Settings contains a link to other apps by Kraft Node LLC. Tapping it opens your app store. We do not receive any information about whether you tapped it.
Children
Hourgleam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to hold or delete.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, requests to access, correct, export, or delete your data have nothing to act on. If you want to erase everything Hourgleam has stored, delete the app.
For purchase records held by RevenueCat, Apple, or Google, contact them directly or write to us and we will help where we can.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
