A focus timer whose whole identity is a disc that shrinks as your block runs. Made by Kraft Node LLC.

When something is wrong with a timer, please include your device model, OS version, and the Hourgleam version from Settings. For timing problems, tell us whether the phone was locked, backgrounded, or force-quit — that distinction is almost always where the answer is.
Common questions
My completion notification arrived late, or not at all
Hourgleam never counts down in the background — it stores the moment your block ends and asks the operating system to notify you then. So a late notification is the OS holding the alert, not the timer drifting. The elapsed time you see when you reopen the app is always correct.
On Android, battery optimisation is the usual cause. Exclude Hourgleam from it: Settings → Apps → Hourgleam → Battery → Unrestricted. Some manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Huawei, Oppo) add a second, more aggressive layer on top of Android's own — look for "Sleeping apps", "Battery saver", or "Auto-launch" in your system settings and allow Hourgleam there too.
On both platforms, check that notification permission is actually granted. Hourgleam's Settings screen shows this under Reliability, with a Fix action if it isn't.
I locked my phone and the time was still right — but the disc jumped
That's deliberate. The countdown is anchored to a timestamp, not to an animation. When you return, the disc snaps to the true remaining time rather than animating to catch up, because a smooth catch-up would mean showing you a number that isn't real for a second or two.
The ambient sound stopped when I locked the screen
Sound is meant to continue through the lock. If it stops on Android, the foreground service was likely killed by battery optimisation — the same fix as above applies. If it stops on iOS, check that Silent Mode isn't on and that Hourgleam still appears in your lock-screen media controls.
I paid for Pro but it isn't unlocked
Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your App Store or Google Play account, so it returns on any device signed in to that same account, and after any reinstall.
If restoring doesn't work, confirm you're signed in with the account you bought with, then email us with the purchase date and store — we can look it up.
Can I move my history to a new phone?
Not currently. Hourgleam stores everything on-device with no account and no cloud sync, which is what keeps your intentions private. The trade-off is that history doesn't travel. Your Pro unlock does — restore it as above.
Does Hourgleam collect my data?
No. No account, no analytics, no tracking. What you type as your intention never leaves your device. The one exception is purchase validation — see the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything Hourgleam stored goes with it. There is no server copy and no account to close.
Will there be a subscription?
Pro is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no weekly plan, no countdown-timer discount.
Accessibility
Hourgleam is built to a contrast floor of 4.5:1 for text and 7:1 for numerals, and the focus and break phases are always spelled out in words— colour is never the only thing telling you which phase you're in.
Turning on Reduce Motion in your system settings removes the hold-to-begin fill animation and the completion confetti; the timer itself is unchanged.
